Dr. Thuy Lin, MD

Dr. Thuy Lin is triple board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Holding the rank of Commander, Dr. Lin is currently practicing full-time at the Navy Medical Center Portsmouth with extensive outpatient and inpatient Pulmonary/Critical Care experience. Commander Lin has served 15 years in the United States Navy and has deployed to Afghanistan. She is currently the Pulmonary Department Head (overseeing inpatient/outpatient Pulmonary Medicine, Intensive Care Unit, intubated and non-intubated COVID-19 patients, and Respiratory Therapy), and the Medical Director for Adult Cystic Fibrosis. Dr. Lin has been involved in the education of medical students, interns and residents rotating in the Pulmonary Clinic and ICU. She holds the academic rank of Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. She is a model clinician and one of the preeminent military experts on Critical Care medicine.
